Dr Deanna MacMahon (Francis)
PhD, MPsych (Clin Neuro), MRes, BPsych (Hons)
Deanna is an endorsed clinical neuropsychologist with a deep commitment to child-centred, neuroaffirming practice. She holds a PhD in child mental health (2020), alongside postgraduate qualifications in clinical neuropsychology and research.
Her clinical work focuses on neuropsychological assessment for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, emotional, and cognitive needs. She has particular expertise in autism, ADHD, specific learning disorders, intellectual concerns, and giftedness. Deanna also conducts developmental assessments for children under five years of age, helping families gain early insight into their child’s strengths and support needs.
As a researcher, Deanna specialises in anxiety and learning disorders. Her work focuses on designing accessible, evidence-based interventions that promote mental health and wellbeing—especially for children who face barriers to support.
